Default Change the hero leveling system

I'm sure by now that everyone has had the situation where they have been playing through the game with level 20 heroes, then you get to a point where you go to use another hero (either because you want to, or your forced to) only to find that this hero is below the level of the rest of your heroes because you haven't been using him/her much. So you either have to go grind this hero up to level 20, or try and make do with its current level.

So I have two possible ways to fix this problem:

1 - Make all heroes the same level as the character that owns them. This would also remove the need for ANET to keep track of how much xp each hero has, so it would probably reduce how much resources Guild Wars needs on the server end (meaning less lag if its a significant amount, which I doubt).

2 - When you get a quest reward, give its experience to all your heroes (instead of whichever 3 you remember to switch to before grabbing the reward). When you make a kill in PvE, all of your heroes that you currently have stashed away will receive the amount of xp they would of got if they were there instead of you. Because of the 5x bonus to hero xp when they are below your level, this should level up your heroes reasonably quickly if you do high-end content. But this method, because it involves modifying more data than the current system, would require more resources on the guild wars servers, meaning a possibility of more lag.

So I'd prefer option 1, but I'll accept the second option. Though I am interested to see if anyone else has any other ideas.

For non elonian chars, all your heros start at lvl15 already. The extra 5 levels really shouldn't be a problem, especially if you remember to switch heros before accepting rewards.

Acolyte Sousuke and Acolyte Jin start at level 11. Even when you get them after finishing nightfall.

Yes, but do the first few quests on the mainland with them and they catch up real quickly.

As another poster said, if your already lvl20, your heroes start at lvl15. But im also pretty sure before they changed that, once you reach a certain point in NF the heroes you attain start at lvl15 anyway.

Its not a huge task to lvl them up by 5 levels. I managed it with a lvl20 tyrian character on all my heroes, and I had that done by the time I finished the game.

Plus I dont think we should share experience between ALL heroes. It should only be shared with the people in your team, or its unrealistic.

You dont really need all your heroes at a max of lvl20. Its nice to have and all mine are, but in truth you can survive with using only 3 or 4 throughout the entire game unless their required.

However...

...I do believe a certain aspect of the level of heroes needs fixed. At this point, (from what I understand) you can only attain 2 hero skill points everytime you level up one in the sunspear title.

Since you only have about 7 or 8 max levels, your not going to have an astounding amount of hero skill points to spend on skills for all those heroes.

Some will ultimately have to be left behind with very few skills to use once you run out of point for them.

Heroes should attain hero-skill-points everytime we level up, in the same we we attained skill-points.

Why limit how many points the can have, when ours is limitless?

Considering there is only about

I think the point there is "after finishing nightfall".

If you finish the game and then unlock a hero from a low-end area who are lvl11 (which is understandable in a low-end area), its not going to impact the playing of the campaign anymore, since youve completed it.

You've more then enough time to then spend leveling them up if you really want/need to. I think its more critical if its a hero who impacts the game as your completing it. But as I said before, lvling them up 5 levels on most isnt that hard.

Not to mention that if your lvl20 and leveling up a lvl11-15, your going to be power-leveling them anyway, so they will increase as a faster rate.
